I am looking for a way through a Macro to be able to fix mis matched columns in a cube. I have found no way to do this and to top it off below is what I found from cognos's support site on this. Does anyone have an example on how to do this?

Description:

The user has a number of similar models stored in MDC format on a server and would like to automate the following manual procedure:

OPEN MODEL
CLICK QUERY, RIGHT CLICK - CHOOSE CHECK COLUMNS
CLICK OK to MISMATCHED COLUMNS Question
CLICK AUTO MATCH CLICK OK
CLICK OK AGAIN on next dialogue
FILE SAVE

Solution:

There appears to be no method of automating checking columns and matching them at present.

Transformer On-line help - No such Command line options
Transformer MDL reference - No relavent commands
Cognos Script - No OLE automation for Transformer

Have you looked at the help entry for "IsAnyColumnMismatched"?

Yes I have, unfortunateley it only alerts you that you have a mismatch, and does not let you automatically fix it.

OK. Looks like an omission, but then that won't be the first. [sad]. At best, you can determine those models that require manual amendment.
