Mirroring a set

Ok so maybe i'm completely dumb but I can't seem to get the effect i'm looking for here.

I have a 5410 set on my desk Ext 528 with one DID pointing to it and one hunt group membership.

I have a VPN to my home office where I have a 5610 IP set that is extension 541.

I want extension 541 to be a mirror of 528 that way I see and hear the same ringing no matter where I am.

I beleive that is called twinning. I went into ext 541 and set internal twinning and choose ext 528.

the issue i'm seeing is i went home and dialed my DID and it didnt ring at home. further it went to voicemail after one ring and it wasnt even my greeting.

any thoughts?

That is your issue - you've twinned the wrong way round

You need to go to extn 528 and twin to 541! (you'l need to un twin 528 from 541 first though)

well dont i feel like a total boob. i'll give it a go. thanks. one other question.

in Manager there is a red icon next to the extension number. i can't figure out what it means. any idea? it looks like a red table but really small.

I have untwinned. when i call ext 541 it rings once then goes to vmail. but it doesnt look like forwarding is on anywhere

No answer timer is probably very low on the telephony tab.

Red table means an login password has been set at the telephony\supervisor tab.
This is used for hotdesking or ACD.
