Does anyone know how to change the M.O.H on a Miran card in an option 81c.
still on rls 4 or 5 i believe.

be more specific. You want to change the Miran file? Is it using the Miran file? You can punch you Univ trk port to whatever source you want. At one site I have an RCA cut to a bisquit jack, going to a VCR that is hooked to a satillite radio channel. The damn VCR use to shut off though, til we hooked a TV to it and changed that menu option....lol.....

Yes it's already playing a file, the customer wants
me to change the music, I. E a new file ,
I need to know where to get a new file and
then how to mKe it play.

Will this do?.

To download the MOH to the MIRAN card do the followings:


1- Convert the music file which the customer provides on e.g. a CD to:

Bit rate: 64 kbps
Auto sample size: 8 bit
Channel: 1 mono
Audio sample rate: 8 KHZ
Audio format: CCITT A-Law


I use a program called "GoldWave" to do this.

Save the file as example: May_Hold (name must be less then 8 characters)

In Goldwave, select the Attributes tab as.. A-Law, 8000 Hz, 64Kbps, mono


2- Transfer the file to the PCMCIA flash card with a size of 64 mb or 128 mb


3- Connect your laptop to the MIRAN card so please take the appropriate cable.
You can browse to the card but I've never used that method.
see the info of how in the attached doc.

The default user login is User Name: user and Password: userxxxx.
The default administrator login is User Name: admin and Password:
adminxxx.

xxxx and xxx isn't the password!.

4- Using "Procomm plus" or "HyperTerminal" access the MIRAN 2 or 3 card by pressing shift~


5- username: admin & Password: adminxxx


6- Choose:

1- MIRAN Administration

2- Announcement Configuration

4- Convert Announcement file

Browse to file A:May_Hold which you put on the flash card

Choose the file by pressing S

Now we want to convert this file to PCM so

In the file name field put C:May_Hold …then

Convert WAV to PCM

5- Calendar Operation

6- Calendar Assignment with Descriptor

You 'll see

DSP000 user

DSP001 ???


Choose DSP000 by pressing S key


File name: browse to C:

Choose your file name example: May_Hold


Browse Descriptor/ always

Add to Calendar

7- Delete Calendar Assignment for the previous month I think the file is: April_Hold



Choose 000 and Delete by choosing D

8- View Calendar assignment and you should see the new file assigned
