Miran card

Is the Miran card known as a media card. I have a NTV001BA card that looks like a Miran card.
 
MIRAN should say MIRAN, Media Card, or MC-32 is for IP to/from TDM
 
a miran is used for recordings.. ran trunks, and moh.. tdm card not voip

Media card will be whatever card you want it to be, providing you install the right software on the card. It can be MIRAN or VGMC or IPT or IPL

The card is generic, the software load determine the card, that's why when you order the card, you get labels that comes with it for MIRAN, VGMC, IPT, IPL and a couple of other integrated products.
 
Since it appears that the card is a media card and it is programed as an I/P card can the card be reprogramed as a miran card with the proper software.
 
No, you cant just replace the Sw on the card and
make it into a MIRAN-card.
Think eBay is a better option ;-)
 
NORTEL24 A Miran Card may be marked on the faceplate as MC8 the VGMC cards as MC32. If you pulled the card from the box the amphenol adapter for the Miran has ethernet connection for the ELAN where as the MC 32 has 2 ethernet ports one ofr ELAN and the other for TLAN
