Hello,

I have just enabled ICS on a windows 2000 pro machine, it assigns all the IP address's fine to the machines that I need it to and everyone can connect.

The problem is, I have a Minolta Magicolour 3100 printer networked and the DHCP from the ICS keeps assigning the printer a new IP everytime it is turned off and on. This is a problem because the pc's that print to it have to be updated with the new IP everytime and it is a pain in the a$$!! I have set the printer to use a static IP, in the correct range and with the correct subnet and I have turned DHCP off on the printer, but it still assigns an IP to the thing each time it is turned off!!! :(

Does anyone have any experience of this sort of problem??

Thanks in advance.

It's sorted!!! :) after messing with loads of settings, the one that sorted the issue was to disable BOOTP. I'm not really familiar with BOOTP, but disabling it stopped the printer from looking for another IP address each time it was switched off and on. :)

The printer now has a static IP, DHCP disabled, BOOTP disabled and it works fine!! :) :) :)
