I have a Minolta 1250 Page ProW installed on one Windows XP machine and networked through a router/switch to another WinXP machine. Each machine can share files and such and see each other on the network.

I have installed the drivers and can print from the WinXp box that has the printer physically hooked up it.

I have installed the drivers on the networked WinXP machine.

I have "shared" the printer. I can see the printer on the networked WinXP box.

I can't print to the Minolta from the networked WinXP box.

I can see the file go into the spooler on the host WinXp box but then it just disappears like nothing ever came across and the printer sits there like a paper weight... Not even a single BURP out of it. The green light on the Minolta starts to flash at this point and that's the end of it.

Any suggestions or insights would be helpful.

Try disabling bi-directional printing.

I have the same configuration as you have. The printer is connected to the printer port of my router. I coudn't even print a test page. But after I turned of bi-directional printing, it worked. You may also try setting your "print processor" to RAW if the first step does not work.

I was almost ready to return my printer to the store. Luckily, I got it to work. Hope it works for you too.

Goodluck!
