Is there anyway (reg hack, utils, etc) that I can minimize Outlook Express 6 (came packaged with windows XP) to the system tray? I've downloaded Out Tray and Minimizer 1.4 and they lock my system up. I really would like a registry setting for it as I think that it would work the best. Thanks in advance.

Here is a link for how to with Outlook 2002

If you are in an experimentin' mood look at

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Outlook Express\5.0
(if using OE 6 try 6.0 rather than 5.0)
Create a new key - Preferences
Create a new REG_DWORD value under Preferences named MinToTray
Set the value to 1

If that doesn't work you might try the same directly under:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Outlook Express

Whatever you do it's on your head! I'm just suggesting some possible hacks not recommending them.

Have fun!
The two rules for success are:
1. Never tell them everything you know.

BTW if you can still boot your machine after experimentin' :) let us know how it goes.

Hey Rjkrash,

I tried what you said with inserting the keys and DWORD and rebooted both times and it didn't work. Thanks for the advice.
