mini sap installed but can't logon 4

Hi,

I installed mini sap according to the instructions. I start sap mbs. Then logon as per instructions, but I get this error message.

I am running windows 2000 with service pack 4

Hi,
might be several Problems... after you ensured that the system is really running (don't know if its in mini-sap
the same as in sap, but if, try "R3trans -d" on the commandline of the server)

Then check if the system ("notebook&quot is rechable in the network from your client.
And last tip... check your %windir%\system32\drivers\etc\services for the following entry:
sapdp00 3200/tcp
hope this helps.
(Maybe you installed another instance-numer ???, reconfig the entry in saplogon and adabpt it so the services-file
e.g. Instance 01 means sapdp01 on port 3201/tcp.)

As a further check on the services file, make sure the last line is an empty line. e.g. the line for the sap service is terminated with a cr.

if not this line does not exists. Go figure!

I know this may sound dumb, but did you run your SAP service first? Yo have to double-click on the "Start SAP MBS" icon. If it is not running I get the same message you got.

When u installed mini sap u will get one icon like our my computer. that icon u have to double click to start. it will be shown on your taks bar. and if you open it it will have two dos commonds running. this should always be there through out your usage.
Then u run the logon pad and try to logon u can get into sap.

If you have any doubts then let me know.
