mini carrier remote

Have a terminal connected to our remote worked fine then one day it started to get very slow and now we are unable to connect to the main switch through the remote. Any suggestions? Have changed all cables, checked the TTY port, and reset remote shelf. Thanks in advance.

1st thing to check would be the tty port, disco that and connect a lap top, those ports can fail

I have checked the TTY ports on the main switch and they work fine. I am still at a lose as to the touble. Thanks for any help.

could be the interface card on either end, that is pretty much the only other link in the chain..
