Recently installed a mini carrier remote and I am seeing the cards on the remote side drop and then come back up, about every 20-30 minutes. I have 2 analog lines hooked up to it now and we are able to dial out and in to those two numbers. I doubled checked my jumper settings for T1 distance and even bypassed the CSU, but to no avail it keeps dropping the cards. I hooked up to the remote end and took a look at the remote mini card and I am getting Frame errors and Slips.

Called telco and had them run their tests and they said they don't see any errors, but also couldn't see my equipment on either end. I put a loopback on the remote side and the local side stayed up for 2 hours straight. Is there something that I am missing in programming that would be causing this?

Make sure the Telco has it set up for a full 64k clear channel

So I talked with the Telco again to make sure they weren't seeing any errors, everything still shows up clean. I asked him about the 64k clear channel and he sounded confused as to what I was asking him.

A clear channel T-1 should be a full 64k, meaning you have all the bandwidth. Sometimes they will only give you 56k because they pull off 2 channels for testing. This is not supported.

When I was looking at the channels on the mini remote, it looked like the first 2 channels were being used as for timing and the other 22 are for calls, am I correct in this?

I will call back and make sure that I have all the channels. Thanks for the info.

You are correct, channels 1 and 2 are for signaling. If they are only giving you 56k then that is more than likely your issue.
