Mimedefang problem

I have tried set up spamassassin and mimedefang to filter spam emails and then send good mail to an exchange server, but emails do not seem to go through mimedefang because all mail (including spam) gets sent to exchange. I think there is something wrong with my sendmail config file because if I send an email from the linux box, it goes through mimedefang and gets filtered correctly. I think its something simple that I am missing, but I'm new to linux and still learning. Any ideas would be great.
