Yes - you can use the import wizard to migrate objects from one BOEXIR2 installation to another.

Thanks alot paulmarr!!!

The Import Wizard works great if you're moving reports, folder, etc. that are not already in the target environment (eg, initial setup). When moving updated reports, there can be some challenges if you have instances in your production environment that you don't want to lose. The ID numbers that BO uses internally will not be the same between the environments for anything after the first set of folders and reports that you set up. So, when you try to update an existing report, odds are that you will end up with two reports - the original and one with "(2)" at the end which is the updated version. If the original has previously scheduled instances that you need to keep, you can't just delete the original and rename the new one. The easiest way to handle this situation is to do a "Save As" from Crystal and save the updated version directly to the production CMS.

A computer only does what you actually told it to do - not what you thought you told it to do.

I have noticed that migrations performed prior to BOE XI R2 Service Pack 2 experience more problems than those performed with the Import Wizard that is updated by BOE XI R2 Serviec Pack2.

I strongly recommend using BOE XI R2 SP2 and not any prior versions.

Another tip, if you have to hit the Back button, it is better to cancel the entire migration process than continue.
