Migration from VM to MES hardware

Avaya Gurus,

We have following scenario with a customer running in VMWare environment;
- Avaya AuraSystem Manager on VMware host1
- Avaya Aura Session Manager on VMware host 1
- Avaya Aura Communication Manager on VMware host 2
- Avaya Aura Utility Server on VMware host 2

The customer requires to migrate this environment from VMware to hardware MES based platform on HP DL360pG8 server. This is rather an unusual request, but customer wants to opt for hardware system instead of VMware as there are many performance issues with VMware at their location.

I have searched the Web and avaya support and cannot find the required documentation. However, avaya support has confirmed that this is possible.

Can anyone please provide the procedure and technical documentation to perform the migration activity.

You're going to need to build that documentation yourself. There isn't a perfect guide to 'how to do my project'.

It would basically be installing your ME and loading backups of the VMWare systems on to it.

But even at that, what's the problem you're having with VMWare? If it is simply that the client isn't managing it properly, you can buy much cheaper dedicated hardware for your Avaya stuff and migrate the solutions you've already installed.

As Kyle says the method to this is an amalgamation of different docs and procedures based on your current environment , maybe best to get a BP involved at least on a initial consultation basis so you get the framework & procedure in place.
