Hi Friends,

I want migrate PB 6.5 app to PB 9.

There are two ways to do it.

1) Migration from 6 to 7, 7 to 8 and 8 to 9.
2) Direct migration to 9.

Which one is better? What is checklist for the same. The application is not PFC based.

Thanking you in advance.

Regards,
Abhijit.

u can migrate directly from 6.5 to 9. During the migration process the checklist of obsolete functions are available which the user can work upon on successful migration.

Prior to it... take a backup of the entire application

A fatal error is happened if your Pfc( verion6.5) had been extended while you migrate!
So,backup is very important!

Direct migration from 6.5 to 9 is better option. I have done it recently. You may get some errors due to duplicate variable declarations i.e. using the same variable name for array & non-array types otherwise you should be ok.

Thanks,
Rajuch.
