Hi,

I have some reports created in version 8.5 and the database is oracle. Now I need them to be migrated to Crystal report version 10.

I tried opening a (8.5)report in crystal report 10. I can open it.But Some reports which has subreports throw warning message, still it opens.

What changes to be done to make them to run in CR 10. I studied in the some technical document that crystal query engine is rewritten in CR 9. Any DLL is needed to convert them to Ver.10????

I have analyzed the report what I have in 8.5.. There are very simple reports... Just have some simpler formulas... there is no SQL expressions... And no crosstabs.... But has subreports. What else I need to check in the reports ?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in Advance

We went from 8.5 to 10 with no real hitches. Just one report that stopped working because some complex table links were being understood differently.

That wasn't Oracle, so I've no idea if there are extra problems. But it should be a smooth upgrade and it usually is.

You will usually be asked if you want to save as Crystal 10 as soon as you make any little change. A good idea, but note that there is no going back. 10 runs 8.5 but not vice versa.

I assume you've already got a system of back-up and running old against new. This can be as simple as copying a file containing the Crystal sources. You may only need it occasionally but it is vital on those occasions.

What if the report uses some UFLs???

Is that possible to find out in a report whether any UFL is used or not..

Sorry, I've no idea. Does anyone else know?
