Migrating website from one server to another. (Linux Redhat 5)

Helllo, i am new to Apache and Linux, and i need some help.

My task is to migrate webpage. I have 2 servers. Both are Linux Red Had enterprise 5! on both there is installed apache. the web pages all phisical data are stored in /var/

http://www/html

and i need to get that webpage from server1 to server2. My question is how to do it. Can i just copy pase the phisical data or there is something else to it? I actually copied all thous files to second server and started apache but no luck blank page! What i need to change so the web page is shown?!

There is no point telling that Webpage work great on Server1!

gzip the files on one server - extract them onto the other.

Why it didn't work? No idea with the information given.

There is database, but its XML and all of it migrated to destination server. The thing is all this website uses tool called CakePHP and i am no so familier with it. Everything seems to work, except i get blank page

And is the 'Cake' framework installed on the destination server?

You need to tell apache where the web files are. This is called the DocumentRoot. You can edit or copy /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf to the new server and that should hook you up. Remember, any time you modify httpd.conf, you need to restart apache so it reads this file.
