Trying to take a load off of my main server and moving Imail to its own server. I installed same version on new server, copied over contents of IMail folder, and exported the Domains key in regedit, as well as the SMTPD32 (changed the paths) and all "seems" okay, but wanted to test by opening Imail Client and sending a test email. I open it up and choose the one domain whose DNS is now pointing to new server and then click on User-ID drop-down and there's a bunch of blank rows?? Anyone see this behavior before?

Also restarted new server just in case...

W2K3 Imail v.8.12

Any Imail version that's less than 8.20 has to reside on a domain controller. In 8.20 you can configure it to point to a specific domain controller.

I ran into this yesterday while testing a migration. We're migrating ours to a new 2003 server box and also upgrading to the Collaboration Suite. We currently run v8.15.

thanks-- that led me in the right direction-- I had used one, but when I imported the registry the old one was there too-- I took out the new one and tried the old one and am able to do this:

-I can open Imail Client and use a virtual domain I have set up and send mail to an outside domain and it is received.
-I can open Imail Client and send mail from one virtual domain user to another user in same virtual domain and I see it in the inbox via Imail Client

However, I can't seem to get to it (the virtual domain) remotely. If I ping the domain it comes back with the correct IP. If I try to telnet to it's pop subdomain on port 110 I get a connect fail. Am at a loss.
