Hi:

I am in the process of moving data from OLD SSA drives to a SAN (Hitachi).

The SAN people already gave me space, and I see bunch of Other FC SCSI Disk Drive when I do "lsdev -Cc disk". Now, can I just run a migratepv source destination? What if some FC drives are being used but not completly full?

TIA!

1. Your disk are listed with the lspv ?, i mean you see something like ... hdisk0 hdisk1 hdiskN ..

2. Your disks belongs to any Volume Group ?

3. You have unused hdisks ?

4. Ok, if you have disks in your HITACHI storage and the AIX can see them like hdiskN ... yo have to add them to the VolumeGroup on the old storage device ...then migrate all the logical volumes
after the remove the old disks from the volume group ...

Well i hope this answer your POST
