Morning all!
I have been charged with trying to move our department away from email via UUCP, which is costing way to much in call charges. As far as I know, the only viable alternative would be to use smtp over the internet, however, I'm not sure how I'd go about doing this change.
All our software is custom written, and I can change any lines or blocks of code as necessary.
If anybody could help me, what I'd ideally like is something explaining to me how to: set up the header on the machine sending the mail, get the mail onto the mail-server, and then get it sent... or can I just change the UUCP to the outgoing mail directory of the mail server (which is local), and be done with it?
Flame me if I'm talking rubbish - I know what I mean though. Many thanks in advance!
