Has anybody successfully migrated from SQLBase to MS SQL Server? We are looking at doing such a thing in the near future.

Does anybody know of any tools available that would assist us?

Thanks in advance,

Woody.

This may not be the answer you are looking for - but the best advice I can give is ...do you really want to do this ? I have worked at a site where the priority was to 'migrate' from SqlBase v7 to SqlServer v8. There was no apparent technical reason to do so , other than SQL Server was a Microsoft product and so must have a better 'image'. After many heartrendering hours we did the conversion manually , and the end result was - please convert back to Sqlbase - its much better in terms of all things technical. Just because something is Microsoft does not mean its better. I ended up being the scapegoat for 'downgrading' the system from SqlBase to Sqlserver. Dont do it !!

I am on the job to migrate the databases from Sqlbase 7.5 to MsSQLServer and successfully migrated our databases . I have used ms access(ADP) for this job and works fine.

Hello! I like to know what is the technique to use SQLBASE database (*.dbs) file on web for data driven websites. I am a webmaster. I have not worked with GUPTA SQLBASE yet, I know some SQL. Kindly give you expert advice since I am really confused how to go about it.

Thanx in advance,
