We are considering moving our BE tables from SQL to Access 2007. I have copied the data into access tables for testing purposes, but the front end has been crashing when trying to import data into one of the tables. I tried paste appending, unsuccessfully, I tried importing to the table, and I tried importing the data into a new table and doing an append query. Each time the FE would crash. Right now I am trying to compact and repair the BE which is taking over 60 minutes. Any comments or suggestions? Any thoughts or comments on the successfulness of migrating out of sql? This might be a dumb suggestion but, have you tried exporting the data to a Excel and then back to Access. The import process will let you know if you have any data errors or if the col. names are incompatible with Access. I am loading a bunch of tables in access and import everything from Excel.

Thank you for your reply. I am actually trying to append data from an excel spreadsheet to an access table and that is what is causing the problems.
