Good evening,

I am currently migrating one of my clients from Outlook Express to Outlook. When I launch Outlook to set up the accounts, I get an error box saying 'That name is not recognized by the server'....in effect, it's trying to connect to an Exchange Server....and they don't have an exchange server. How do I get around this? Even logging on locally instead of logging on to the domain...I can't get past it.

Thanks

I am using Outlook 2002 sp3.

If there is a outlook icon on the desktop, right click on it and choose properties. Now click on "show profiles". Delete the exchange user account.

OR

When Outlook is open. From the menu bar:
tools > Email accounts > view or change > next > Highlight the exchange account and click remove.

hope this helps.
