I'm currently having a problem migrating cube reports from Upfront personal newsboxs to c8? impromptu reports migrate fine with minor modifications but the cube reports are causing a root error. Not sure what that means and/or how to correct it.
Unfortunately, there is no migration of cube reports to Cognos 8. This is always a major issue when dealing with clients upgrading from a previous version. The main reason is that Cognos 8 has a new tool called Analysis Studio which replaces PowerPlay web.
I am fairly sure. I worked on a couple of projects with a 2 Cognos developers (each had over 10 years of experience with Cognos) and we had to pretty much start from scratch when we migrated the clients to Cognos 8. I have even heard rumors that Analysis Studio may be replaced with PowerPlay Web in a version down the road because Analysis Studio has had plenty of bugs and users are not impressed with Analysis Studio.
