Migrate WDS from 2003 to 2008 1

I currently have a WDS server running on server 2003 SP2, at the moment it only deployes a flat XP image, I use this so I don't have to manage multiple images.

I'd like to move this to Server 2008 SP2 but i'm not quite sure how I can go about this and keep my current image for XP machines. I have a few questions.

1. Can I run more than one WDS server for a while or will I need to remove the old one and add the new one?

2. How can I setup my new WDS so it will still deliver my flat XP install to older clients but will also allow me to install Windows 7 as well?

Thanks I wasn't aware of the MDT, I can see that it works well with Win 7 but will it allow a flat XP image?


I can see that multiple WDS servers is possible.
