Here’s the situation:

I’m having problems trying to activate a customer’s Caller ID on a MICS Phone system, system version MICS SP: 30 DEC12 NAT running software version NAMICS 7.1 FL.. I purchased a Caller ID card from one of our suppiers. I plugged the unit out, installed the card in Slot 3, then plugged the unit back in. There's also a DS card in Slot 4. The phone system came back up ok. I made sure that under “Terminals & Sets” that I changed the “Caller ID Set” from N to Y for each phone. The customer is using 5 lines on the phone system. I tested the 1st three lines at the Dmark to make sure that they have Caller ID. No problem there. Then when I tested the phone system (by calling each line) the Caller ID is still not showing up on any of the phones. I must also add that for all the phones I set each line to Appear and Ring.

The caller ID is still not working.

Does anyone have any ideas?!?

The CI card needs to be in slot 4. Plus for each phone that has a ringing line in the sets programming to see CLID before answering set each line assigned under Telco to y

And under Capabilities for each set set First Display to either name or number, not line.

Hi Guys!

I went to the customer's place yesterday and switched the CI card over to Slot 4. The Caller ID works fine now. Thank's Cook1082 and Oldestgeek for your help. I really appreciate it.

THANK YOU TEK-TIPS!!!!!!!
