Extensions on one of the modules start ringing constantly. Lifting the handset does not stop the ringing. In maintenance under modules, the status changes. At first look it was unequipped, then next time there were 7 sets, then 11, then none. Could it be a defective 0x16 module or a defective 2 port expansion?

MICS with 2 port fibre expansion & 2 0x16.

Firstly check to make sure the fiber cable and power cable are seat properly. You could exchange the fiber cables on the expansion card to see if trouble follows the cable. Be sure to turn on set relocation first or programming will get messed up.

If you just move the fiber at the cabinet (leave them alone in the 0x16 boxes) you'll swap the 0x16 from port 3 to 4 and 4 to 3. That'll tell you if the problem is in the KSU (expansion card) or if its an 0x16 module issue.
