The MCK route will give them digital sets at their house, but will cost (new) about $3k-$4k per house for the 2 MCK units, plus a hi-cap circuit for each (DS1 is about $175/month). Another route is Analog Station Module with OPX circuits to each house. Either way, it won't be cheap, but the analog route is cheaper.......

I would put it at more about $1200 per house.

Office- 12 port gateway:

House- 1 port voice and 1 for PC remote extendar:

OPX's can cost a fortune and alo are limited to tariff regulations and distances etc.

With MCK you can use your current copper rez line (or order another for $50 a month) already in a house or cable/DSL connection which also would most likly be in the house.

Pretty much the devices and a little labour is your cost.

Refurbished are cheaper (the refurb links Curly gave come out to $1700 + change/house), but in my experience, they're hit or miss. Since it was the company decision, time, reputation, and money at stake and not mine, we did the refurb route. One time, I had three bad in a row over 2 months....customer was smoked...... There may be a DSL option now. Anything less than 56k is nothing but trouble. Curly, you're up north, right? We don't have the same tariffs as Canada or Europe, but were headed straight for full government controlled Socialism at breakneck speed down here......

Yes Canada....I didnt pay much attention the rates on those sites, I know we sell them at $1000 for remotes and about $2000-$3000 for the Gateways depending on model.

I agree , dont buy refurb when it comes to switches etc.

Yes they work on Cable or DSL now un like the old days where it was 2 units per house.

Depending on serving COs and distances the Off Prem Stations may not be that expense, if ordered out of the Access Tariff. That way you CAN specify the transmission levels and everything.

Who is the serving LEC?

Too bad the MICS does not have a station DS1 interface support, then you could haul it from the CO (MUX @ CO) to the office and go right to the MICS! Unfortunately, the Meridian PBXs don't either. Nortel had deaf ears on this one, I bitched to alot in the 1990s to add the software, but they were mum...

Why not just have reception do a link transfer to the work-at-home people when callers need to speak to them? No cost at all!
