Hello,
I backed up a customer with an MICS that has about 100 users on the system. It has a T1 connected with PRI and 8 station MODS and two ASM's and NAM. I was wondering how big the file would be on a system of this size? I backed it up to a floppy and it came out to 295KB's. Does this sound about right? It took about 10 minutes to do the backup with NRU.
Thanks,
Dmac,

Sounds about right. Systems with copper trunks have larger backup files.
The NAM isn't a factor. It isn't backed up this way

I agree with Sprucegrover. Your file size is right.
285k for non-expanded, 295k for expanded. About 95k to 110k for CICS, depending on which one.
I know what you are feeling: Went quick, was easy, file seems small for all that programming you did, but you got it.

Thanks Guys,
Yea it is a good feeling to know that it is backed up.You're right I thought it would be a lot bigger.
Thanks for the help,
Dmac,

Why does it take sooooo much longer to import the system into an Excel spreadsheet? That takes me hours of connect time.

salo0920,
The Excel spreadsheets are huge files that contain macros to run routines for massaging the data into the proper cells. I rarely use that method anymore. Just toooooo time consuming for the results that you get. If a customer wants a hardcopy of their programming record, it is kind of pretty is all.
