Has anyone heard of a release of cabinet problem and release 6.1. I Have an older cabinet out there with release 6.1 software and the system is visibly slow. I have heard thru the grape vine that there is doc that says that older cab's are not 100% compatible with 6.1 software and the result is slow processing.

Thanks in advance,

Check to see what release NVRAM you have installed. There are problems with some earlier NVRAM releases. It could be a memory issue.

How many lines and stations do you have? What do you see indicating the MICS is slow?

Have you tried power cycling the MICS to see if that cures the slowness?

I have slow processing on an MICS 6.1 and a refurb NV Ram. I didn't know about the possibility of slight incompatability. I have been noodling on this one for two weeks now. Anyone have the change in release point where the NV ram becomes good?

The system not bought or installed thru me but as far as I know the cabinet is a 2001 cabinet installed originally at this site with 6.1 software.

At that point they went to add a third T1 card and went above the ports keeping them in the small software, so requiring XC software. We then sold them the XC software and a service cart allowing them full access to the stations and lines. The current config is 3 T1's 32 digital station and an 8 port fiber nam.

I could only assume that he installed the new software and cartridge as the same time. I am waiting for him to call me and confirm me on that.

Not sure if this is related, but you mentioned XC6.1 and a third T-1. Check out thread799-715242.

The NVRAM need to be release 2, which came out with 5.0.
If you have Rls 4.1 or older before, it may be a rls 1 NVRAM, which has known issues.
