MICS PRI ISSUE>>>> 1

I have a MICS with 6.1, with PRI,6-port slim with 1 FSM,
it got hit by lightening, the system lost 8 extensions, installer has replaced everything on the system except the software.
Everything works fine, but once the PRI has more than 4 incoming calls, callers get screetching and hissing..Bell South has been out, and confirmed that thier stuff is fine...any suggestions?? could software case this?

Can't really rule the s/w out, but its doubtful.

Maybe forcing the DTI card to reload the PRI firmware will help.
Go into Maintenance and disable the card.
Go to Hardware and change the card type to Loop or T1.
Go back to Maintenance and enable the card.
Release out of programming.
Wait a few minutes.
Go back in and repeat the process choosing PRI as the card type.

It could also be a programming issue, if a fax/ata is programmed to answer a DID, or is programmed as a call fwd on a ringing set.

Under Maint, are you getting any errors on the circuit?
