Can you manually select a line that does not appear on the phone. (Not prime line selection.) Maybe some feature code.

i guess you could put each trunk in a line pool and then give it a access code...how many trunks you talking about

ONLY 24 WEEKS TILL SKI SEASON STARTS

Well thats not exactlly what I need. I would like to use it for testing purposes and I also have a customer that has a metro line that they would like to select out of a pool every once in a while, but not take it out of the pool.

anyone else have a suggestion or is it nor possible?

How about using a (one digit) speed dial code and tell it which line to use. Would work if the first digit was always the same one.

Woops, Just tried my method listed above. Does not work as I stated. Still needs the line appearing on the set. Sorry
We should add that to our Norstar wish list. I tried it on a CICS 4.1 and then a MICS 6.1

You may be able to do it. Bear with me on this it looks like alot, but its really not that involved.

Go into programming under terminals and sets.
Bring up a particular test set extension.
Go under user preferences
Go under button programming.
Press find
It should ask you to type a particular button.
example button 06
You will see tel# or feature
Press tel#
It will then ask for internal or external
Press external
enter the destination number
Then it will give you choices of what to use. Prime line, A particular trunk, Pool code, or routing table.
By your request, you will want to select The second choice which is typing in the trunk number you want it to use. example Trunk 003.
Alright your programmed.
When you exit out of the programming when you press that button it should dial that number you entered using line 003.
Hope that helps, and answers your question.

Lkey, did you test that first? I think you have the same problem with that as you do with my method.
The system comes back with "Select a Line" At least mine does.

You got me Marv O. I didn/t have a chance to try it out lastnight. I tried it today, and I ran into the same problem. I don't have to use that feature too much. It does work great when you have centrex lines, and someone does not want to double nines. Back to the drawing board.

See ya
