MICS DR 6.1 to XC 6.1 1

I have a Norstar MICS DR 6.1 that is running out of ports. I need to upgrade the system to MICS XC 6.1. Will I need to use the upgrade tool and if so which one will I need the DR 6.1 upgrade tool or the XC 6.1 upgrade tool? I definately want to keep the current programming.

Is it just as simple as power down and exchange the DR 6.1 S/W card with the XC 6.1 S/W card and retain all of the current programming?

Should be, just make sure you only do software first.
