I plan on moving a new customer with a mics with pri and downgrade to two clid card if I use the start up password to default system does the system retain the pri enabler key.

Start up will loose PRI codes, if you have the codes you can re-enter them, as long as you don't step down in s/w.
The problem with that is you run the risk of changing the SN, if that happens the PRI codes will no longer work.
Why not just install a couple of CID cards and make them pool A?

The serial number shouldn't change if you're only swapping out the trunk cards. As Wayne suggested, I'd play it safe and just reprogram to use the analog trunks.

Thanks will do it, it's not my system seemed simpler to start from scratch.
Maybe, but if the serial number changed for some reason after the STARTUP, your PRI Enabler keycode would not work when you try to re-enter.
