MICS DID phantom directly to NAM mailbox

I've read the FAQ about phantom locals, and i just wanted to clarify how the Answer DN worked. I'm willing to sacrafice a 7324 if placing an answer dn of a phantom DID local on it will mean DID calls will forward into the respective mailbox. Anyone tried this? Or have a better way to do it?

If you have rel 4.1 or higher with hunt groups you can do the following

Build a Target line, ie: 145
enter the received digits ie: 2345
prime set: none

Select a Hunt group (1-30
either accept the hunt groups extension or change the dn of the hunt group to a new DN
add the DN from above sentence to be that of the voicemail DN
under line assignment assign the target line to the hunt group
shorten time out queue to be 15 sec
make overflow extension of hunt group to be the VM DN

add a guest mailbox (if possible use the Hunt group Extension from above
make the Extension of the mailbox same as the hunt group extension
note: make sure mailbox is initialized.

end programming

calls come in as a did to the target line
target line sends call to hunt group
hunt group queues the call for 15 seconds
hunt group overflows call to voicemail
voicemail receives call and recognizes the hunt group dn as the extension sending call to vm
mailbox answers call as normal

More simpler way :

Program the DID target line on all the sets that you need the call to go to
Program the control set and the primeset as the extension whose VM should get the call
