Couldn't quite figure out a yes or no answer from reading an old post regarding this (except that it would not be an issue for a BCM).

MICS 7.1, PRI Trunk, MICS will be programmed for 4-digit DN's,

We know that the maximum "Rec'd # Length" is 7 for a MICS.

If the Carrier outpulses 10-digit DID #'s will the MICS still truncate enough digits for the 4-digit DN's to be correct even if "7" is entered into the Rec'd # Length field, or do we need to tell the Carrier to send 7 or fewer digits?

Under can enter the same or less digits then what the carrier is sending.
if they send 10 then you could put:
7 Received Digit length
7 digits under Target Line

or

4 Received Digit length
4 digits under Target Line

Note your Telephone DN's can be any length...i.e. you do not need to bring the system from 3 digit DN's to 4 digit DN's just for the purpose of Target Lines.

Thanks for clarifying. We do want 4-digit DN's and that was planned. Just didn't understand how the "Rec'd # Length" and 10-digit DID #'s would play together to allow this.
