I was called to reset the time on a MICS for a customer. When I arrived I found that they knew how to change it but the time would stick at what ever time they set. Also they have a computer which is tied to the phone system for billing purposes (lawyers office). It appears that the computer is the source for the phone system clock. Since the computer looks to be from the 1930's is there any reason to use the computers clock? Can I just set the MICS to use its' own clock? or is there a good reason to use the computer?

Good to know, thanks exsmogger. Must have been coincidence that the time and computer crashed at the same time, or cause by the same issue. I don't see them replacing the cabinet. I think they could live with the time being in sync with caller ID. Where would that be. I see clock source, primary and secondary, would that be it?
