Is there a way to back up system and station configuration data for a MICS 6.1
 
And if you're doing it locally, you'll need a true serial port on your laptop.

Anyone know why they quit putting those on laptops? You could use them for anything. You're kind of limited with a USB.
 
I've heard a converter won't work to connect to Digital Mobility. Anyone had any success with one?

I have to apologize. I've gotten a ways off subject.
 
The reason the serial cable from the rad won't work is because the digial mobility needs a null modem cable for it's serial connection.
 
USB to serial converters work well to connect your RAD/FastRAD device. I use an HP USB-Serial dongle to connect to my 824, and it works great.
