MICS and NAM voice mail issues

I have a MICS and NAM voice mail that was working when pulled out of service a year ago. When I hooked it back up I can't get any features on the voice mail to work. All say inactive. I did a restart on the ksu still no luck. I also can't remember what fiber port was used before. Does that matter? The syatem has two 6 port fiber cards. Has any one had this problem before?

the fiber port doesnt matter when connecting to the nam but id try another if your getting no luck with the current one. Also are you getting the happy tones from the nam aftera start up? When you go into the ksu side does it see the nam?

Thank you for the reply. I have tried different ports and fiber cables. A good soild red light from the KSU through the cable. Good sounds from the NAM. Display reads 00 when finished booting. When I go into maintenance I cannot see the NAM. I've rebooted but no luck. I currently have it plugged into the top left port on the 6 port fiber card. What port would that be in maintenance? I have two 6 port fiber cards installed but nothing else plugged into them. Thank you.

Unless you have 7.0 or 7.1 the top 2 leftmost ports were reserved for the Companion wireless phones. Use another port except those 2 if that's the case.

As norstarboy ask's, do you get the happy tones (series of three ascending tones)?

I do hear the happy tones you mentioned. What would cause the ksu not to see the nam?

You can use any ports but the 2 at the top on the second card unless you have 7.0 or better, they were used for the companion only as exsmogger stated above. Do you know what sftware you have? If u dont have xc then your second 6 port fiber card isnt going to work at all so try to connect the nam to any port on your first 6 port card.
