I have a MICS 7.0 with a flash 4 voice mail 2.0. The voice mail quit answering in day and night modes.
I replaced the flash and have the same software level 2.0. Now the system answers after the programmed 4 rings, but
system will not answer at all when in night service. The programming was not changed for night ringing from previous.
The control set is 221 and the VM Dn is 232, 221 is assigned in ring group 001 along with 232, schedule night set
to manual, trunk answer Y, lines 1-4 are set for ring group 001 and lines 1-4 are set for 221

Any ideas Thanks

Norstarboy 126: This system was working with existing programming for night service, which did not include putting the VM Dn
as the extra dial set.
Is this another way to accomplish this or?
If this will work fine.
Not on site, so will have to go back tomorrow.

Thank You

Why are you asking is there another way? I'm telling you for free the right way how to fix your problem, honestly a night service button the way you described being programmed would of never worked, having that 221 in group 001 will never trigger the vmail.

Norstarboy, you might want to read posts more carefully, I asked if what you advised was another way to do this. I was asking because I have never set up night service using extra dial VM DN and thought there may be multiple ways of
setting up night service. The fact that this was working fine the way it was programmed with extra dial set as 221 etc.
lead me to believe there were other ways to do this. I was not questioning what you advised, thought this forum was for asking questions?
I appreciate your free advice.

What does F985 say on display?
Maybe the DN of the mail changed so check F985.

F985 shows VM DN as 232 which is was before.
I tried the advice to take 221 out of the ring group 001 and make VM Dn 232 the extra dial, but did not work.
The VM answers in non night mode after 4 rings as programmed.
Have set these up before with no problems. Its been a while, so I don't know what I am missing.

Thanks for any help
