MICS and DTMF receivers

Looking for info re: dtmf recvrs. My info is:
5 in core ksu (T1 or analog calls)
2 on E&M line card (analog only)
5 on 6 port combo if used in slot 2 (used for T1 only)
how is it that dtmf rcvrs are used on t1 calls?
getting alarm 63 on some call originated on t1 trks
searched threads.

Actually none in the core.
(5) on combo card.
The Alarm 63 should provide some info of the trunk giving the error. This will help you isolate to the E&M card or the combo.
If its on the T1, its your combo card.
Some times the DTMF receivers fail. There is no way to test and no way to know how many are working.
My usual suggestion on Alarm 63's from the T1, when traffic is not the issue, is to replace all combo cards in the system.
