have a large MICS 7.1 XC with 320 DN's and two MICS networked together. System A & B. When the time changed system A updated because the loop lines come into that system via 061 and it has a CI card so the time updates all the time. However system B did not update. I have both set for DST EXTENDED and AUTO set for Y but it still did not update.

I guess A does not relay the time and date over to B. Any idea why or a solution?

Extended daylight savings time began in 2007.

Is the system date, especially the year, correctly set to 2012?

System B needs its own POTS line to update, or update manually. Imagine if system B were in a different time zone. The time would be wrong if it received updates from system A.

I never rely on the carrier for time.

If it is 7.1 you can set the time, make sure DST is on and forget about it.
If you have a power fail and lose time simply enter F**TIME

That's my solution.

CO time is always reliable so I will take the suggestion to add an CI card in on system B and route connect a LOOP line with CID on it to that port so it will update by itself. To bad Nortel did not think about this in their network design. CO has always been an accurate and reliable source of time for me. Never had a problem with Century Link or Cox.
