i have a MICS that was set up with all 7310's, then we started replacing sets with 7316e's. how do i get the system to see that the set is a 7316e not a 7310??? I am hoping this will resolve the line key starting on the 4th key? I also have a few that see the 7316e.

If line 1 is starting on button 4 you have 6.0 software or lower. 6.1 and up moved line 1 to the top. Or your 7316 sets are not E. If there is only two buttons below the dialpad they are not E series. The E series have mute, handsfree and headset buttons below dialpad.

Thank you for the reply! Ok so let me get this straight if i have 7.0 or 7.1 the system will see 7316 sets as 7310's but see 7316E sets as 7316E sets?

Thanks again this helps alot!
:)

All systems (including 6.1 and up) will see T7316 as M7310 and start the lines on button 4.
The only phones seen as T7316e are the T7316e.
