I have a user that wants 2 phones to ring for 4 rings at the same time when line 1 rings, then several other phones to ring 4 more times at same time before AA picks up on 8 rings. I have tried hunt groups but dont see how it will forward to another hunt group on no answer of first. Is this possible or anyone have other ideas?

Thanks

Hunt goups cannot overflow to hunt groups. You could however use a phone in the switch room and forward that to the 2nd huntgroup. In the 1st hunt group set the overflow to the DN of the phone that is forwarded. Hope this helps.

I think I understand what your are saying but the call wont leave (overflow) the first hunt group on no answer. The idea of having a 2nd hunt group was if no one answered the first, then the call would go to the 2nd group. If I understand it right the call will only leave the first group if all phones in that group were busy, not on no answer. That is my problem.
Thanks.

For it to overflow in a no answer state you need to set it to "queue" first and set set the queue time to 15(this equals 3 rings) then go back and change it to overflow, overflow to the DN of the Forwarded phone(the phone forwarded to the 2nd hunt group.) This should forward a no answer after 3 rings to the 2nd hunt group. Let me know if this doesn't work for you. This is how I forward a hunt group to it's own mailbox and it works like a champ.
