Recently upgraded MICS from 4.0 to 6.1 (Non XC) We've noticed that there are only 3 ring choices in the F*6. There used to be 4 in the 4.0 s/w. We have a mix of phones from m7100 up to m7324 w/KLMs. All phones only give 1,2,3 for a choice in the ring tones. What happened here? Anyone else experience this?

A2,
There are still four. Difference is that in addition to giving phones a ring tone you may now give each line a seperate tone up to four. So with the default ring- No. 1 assigned to the ringing phones, you can now only assign three more.
Agree that Nortel should have more tones than that but if they fix everything on the Christmas list then why would they come out with a new software release?

Cheers

I understand what you're saying. But shouldn't I still have the choice of 1-2-3-4 under the Feature *6? Ring #3 is the highest it goes. Ring pattern #4 was nice as it was a softer tone.

Maybe reboot the MICS?

If you have assigned ring 4 as a distinctive ring for a line, it will not be available as F*6 for stations. Check if you have assigned ring 4 as a ring on a line, if you take it off it should give it back. So you can then have 4 rings for stations.

Ohh, now I see. Thanks to Wayne and Arr for that helpful insight. I apologize to Arr for not understanding your first post.

Thanks again!
