I just picked up a new customer and am unfamiliar with the pri settings, I have been doing norstars for about 10 years but all have been smaller companies. The customer now has a mics with 2 bri cards and is upgrading to a t1 with pri, I picked up a used mics with pri card, clocking card and 6 port fiber expansion. I have done t1's many years ago on the old Rolm systems but this bird is of a different feather. I need info on how to set this up to use the lines both in and out. Here is a copy of the email he sent me.

"Changing this to 4-digits is not a problem, but E&M wink for an ISDN PRI doesn’t match up. This is not a DID circuit. This is built and sold as a PRI with DID’s pointed to a BTN. Let me know how you want to proceed with this"

I have the circuit connected to the mics and there are no alarms or lights on the mics at this point.
I am looking for a basic run down as to pointing the lines to where they need to go and how to route the outdialing.
There are 20 lines coming in on this pri.
Any and help would be appreciated
Mike

Inbound - start at Target Lines 145 or 157 depending on software rls.
Input the received digits and prime to the users DN
Assign the target line to the set as you wish.

Outbound - Create a dest code say 9 and tell it to use say route 001
Setup route 001 to use PRI-X
Allow sets access to PRI-X

Also make sure your framing and line coding and protocol match the CO. Most likely you will have ESF as the framing and B8ZS as the line coding. If those match the circuit should come up with a happy D channel.

What you really need to make sure is the ISDN PRI protocols match the protocols the CO is sending you or you may not get voice traffic across the circuit.
