Can anyone verify the functionality of the following MICS 6.0 software features?

1. Off-Core DTI support on MICS, the DTI card to be used is the NTAB74AAAA which replaces the NTAB74GA.

2. ETSI PRI(EURO and MCDN protocols) support on profile 2 in MICS

3. Malicious Call Identification( MCID )

4. Network Call Diversion for ETSI BRI and PRI(NCD)

5. Norstar Voice Mail as Centralized Voice Mail(NVM as CVM)

6. Norstar Voice Mail as Centralized Auto Attendant(NVM as CAA)

7. System Wide Call Appearance(SWCA)

The following feature functionality for MICS 6.0 is known.

1. The Silent and non silent monitoring for hunt groups feature is not available and is in beta testing. It is slated for offering on 6.1.

2. The Distinctive Line Ringing(DLR) feature is available on MICS 6.0.

Redhawkfla...
The centralized AA and VM is likely an amalgomation of the new supposed KSU networking over T1's and the new CP100 and 150s ability to go IP WAN. The CP100/150 are both compatable with M1 equipment which can do the same sorts of things even on a local loop basis.

From what I have read:

Centralized Voicemail (CVM) and Centralized Auto Attendant (CAA) are on a NAM platform. Though I wonder is the software of the NAM going to be an issue? I have heard that the NAM s/w 4.1 is slated to come out soon and wonder if it is a requirement.

The CVM and the CAA only works using MCDN(SL-1)Protocol over PRI. The dialing plan is CDP dial plan only with the correct Private Network ID required.

Redhawkfla,

Understand your point. But have just read the manual for the CP100/150 and it would seem to me that the NAM is not long for this world especially given the coresident ACD problems on the new units with the higher processor chip - which has been software slowed.

Seems to me though that the limit of 8 channels on CP150 could be a problem on multiple networked systems using CVM and CAA. A 16 channel NAM would seem to have more resources for such an application. I like the CP though and agree that the NAMs days are probably numbered. Seems like another platform is needed though to fill the void it will leave. I appreciate your input by the way.

Rehawkfla,
If you don't see this message I'll post it as new string.
Thought: If the CPs us IP network messaging, then could they also use VOIP mailbox external transfering through to remote locations - all without connecting the KSUs. ?? Any ideas on this one?

I have just found out from a reliable source that the NVM functioning as Centralized Voice Mail and Centralized Auto Attendant is able to be done on a NAM s/w 4.1.

Nor Unreal Tournament 2003? lol

Some peeps thought the 150 was to replace the NAM but not true however I think the NAM will still be around for a bit but modified.

Well I didn't expect to play WarCraft III but .... It is my pet theory that the processor and related software slow down that has been applied to it has created a whole wack of problems. Was hoping to hear that these have been effectively addressed with this latest release. Is the mother board still the same IBM one?
Besides sometimes there is enough war when doing a set up with one of those ... why would you want to practise?
