I have customer that has members that need DID's and voicemail boxes but do not need an extension on site. Can I program DID's to be directed directly to a Mbox without an extension attached to it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Since you have Ver 4.2 you have some luck. you can creeate mailboxes that are the same number as your Hunt groups, then assign the HG to overflow to VM. Problem is that you can only do this for the number of HG's you have available.

See faq799-3640 for full details.

I have a customer with MICS R1/T1, and here's what I did:
Setup DID #'s as Target Lines, assigned to virtual (unused) extensions. Setup the associated mailboxes for these ext's. Program ext's. to CF/B & CF/NA on 2-rings to voicemail.

You did not mention the configuration of the MICS, so let's assume 8x32. You have x221 -- x252 already in use. You can program x253, without a phone attached, as your first virtual extension. Setup your first Target Line as Private to x253 (you can change the DN to match the DID # (ie: change x253 to x501 to match the DID XXX-7501)). You can also setup mailboxes for Message Notification.

You can do this for as many DID's as you have unused extensions. Hope this helps.

Build target line with rec digits
Build mailbox with the same rec digits as target line
Make voice mail main extension the Prime set for the target line.

Makes is simpler than hunt groups.
