Hello -

I've read the FAQ on this but wanted to ask an experience question. We have an MICS 4.1 with a StarTalk Flash. We'd like to setup external call forwarding. Are there any glitches or things we need to be concerned about since the software is so out of date in using the external call forwarding?

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks!

The only drawback I can think of regarding external call forward from you MICS 4.1 is that it uses up 2 lines (in/out of system) so there is some volume loss, but other than that it has worked well for me.

The lower volume issue also happens on newer releases of the software: it has more to do with the hardware. It is especially noticeable when using analog trunks. If you are using digital trunks, you shouldn't have to worry about that.

Otherwise, External Call Forward works as advertised, even on release 4.1.
