Hi all,
I have Nd = MICS 4.1 & I will be having another Nc = MICS 4.1 USA XC .
What is the deference between the 2?
I have a backup of the 1st system can I use the restore tool to program the 2nd system ? or is it better to start programming from scratch?
I am using NRU 10.0
Any input will be appreciated.

The XC software is for Companion and Expantion lets you add the other expantion card. As for your restore I don't think it will work, but could be wrong.

Thanks for the reply DTone,
Are you saying that if someone needs to upgrade from 4.1 to 4.1 XC he can't use the backup & restor tools?!

I would not be mixing software versions during backup processes..

You can backup the 4.1 prior to the upgrade.
Upgrading occurs when the feature cartridge is replaced with an XC feature cartridge while the system is powered down.
If the sub release of the 4.1 software is lower the system may perform a startup resulting in data loss.
The backup can be used to restore the database to the original feature catridge and then an upgrade can be attempted again.
It is not possible to restore an 4.1 backup to an XC system.

Thanks for the info, it is all clear to me now
