We are upgrading a MISC 2.0 to 4.1 can anyone give us help on the parts and procedure to upgrade this unit

Here is what I would do:
-power down
-remove old software card
-insert new card
-power up
-program as needed

Upgrading from MICS 2.0 to 4.1 (or any 2 piece software) requires an upgrade kit or the system will have to be re-programmed from scratch

To sprucegrover,

Is there any information I need to know not in the manual?

The upgrade kit comes with a doc sheet that is self explanatory if you are familiar with the procedure.
Before the upgrade, go through the programming of the 2.0 and make note of any unusual programming that may be specific to the site. After the upgrade, check through the programming for any missing data ie: Capabilities, Speed dials, trunk programming, pool groups, access codes etc...
Data has a way of going away during any kind of software upgrade

You would be better off just upgrading to 4.1 and re-programming. This way if you decide to upgrade to 6.1 or a future release, you won't have some upgrade issues that can arise with multiple upgraded systems. Just my opinion on this.
